Grants to relieve hardship
July 2026 update: The Westminster Almshouse have paused their small grants to individuals until after the summer. Please see other local funding options here. We aim to resume our individual giving programme as soon as we can.
When back in action awards of up to £500 will be considered for essential household items needed by Westminster residents.
Applications from organisations for larger grants will also be considered if the purpose of the grant is to break down social isolation in Westminster. We do not fund projects where the organisations in question have significant financial reserves. Applications are made by contacting the Clerk initially (clerk@westminsteralmshouses.com). Large grants to organisations are considered by the Grants Committee, which meets 4 times a year.
